Kids' Corner After School Program
is a parent sponsored non-profit organization licensed by the
Department of Early Education and Care. We have been serving the
Winchester, MA community since 1982. The program provides
quality enrichment programs to school age children after school,
on all school days from September through June. Kids' Corner
After School Program is a place where children can learn, have
fun and make new friends. We promote education enrichment and
personal growth through a variety of activities.
Kids' Corner is located on the lower level of the old Mystic
School at 263 Main Street. Transportation is provided for
students; however, parents are responsible for purchasing their
own bus passes through Winchester School Department.
Winchester Afterschool Program d.b.a. Kids’ Corner, has been
serving the Winchester community since 1982. The program goals,
set forth by the founders, include the following:
To provide a comfortable, safe, and stable environment, as well
as a variety of recreational and enrichment activities for
children attending the program.
To offer a balance of
structured and unstructured activities, with opportunities
for relaxation, free play, or homework.
To meet the special
needs of both older and younger children in the program.
To make extensive use
whenever possible of resources in the community and the
greater Boston area, including: the library and the
Recreation Department.
BOARD
OF DIRECTORS
The parent Board of Directors makes important
policy, financial, and hiring
decisions during the year, under the leadership of the officers
whom the Board, in turn, elects from among its members. Officers
and other Board members donate their time in service to the
program.
